Cat Cat Village – Bac Ha Market from Hanoi 2-Day Tour (Every Saturday)

Day 1: Hanoi → Sapa → Cat Cat Village

Start (6:00–6:30 AM): Pick-up in Hanoi
Your journey begins with pick-up from your hotel in the Old Quarter or at the bus station. Board a comfortable sleeper bus & head northwest toward Sapa.

Morning Drive: Highway to Lao Cai
Travel along the modern highway from 7:30 to 11:45, with a short comfort break along the way. Enjoy the gradual change in scenery as you leave the city behind and move into the mountains.

Late Morning: Mountain road to Sapa
From 11:45 to 13:15, continue on a winding mountain road toward Sapa Town. Look out the window for views of deep valleys, terraced rice fields, and scattered highland villages.

Stop 1: Arrival in Sapa Town (13:15–13:30)
Arrive in Sapa, where ethnic minority groups such as the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay often appear in their colorful traditional clothing. You’ll be welcomed with a drink, receive a quick briefing, enjoy a local lunch, and check in to your hotel.

Stop 2 (14:30): Trek to Cat Cat Village
Begin a short walk to Cat Cat Village, home of the Black H’mong people, located at the base of a deep valley near Fansipan. Your local guide will introduce you to daily life in the village as you trek downhill toward the waterfall. Visit the French-built Hydraulic Power Station and take photos at the bridge and waterfall before hiking uphill back to Sapa. Beautiful late-afternoon light often makes this part of the trek especially scenic.

End of Day (17:00): Dinner & overnight in Sapa
Return to Sapa Town, enjoy dinner, and settle into your hotel for the night.
Trekking distance: ~2.5 km (about 2 hours).

Day 2: Sapa → Bac Ha Market → Lao Cai → Hanoi

Morning (6:15–7:00): Breakfast & check-out
Have breakfast at the hotel, pack your luggage, and prepare for a full day of exploring Bac Ha.

Stop 1 (7:00–13:00): Transfer to Bac Ha & visit market
Take a 2.5-hour drive to Bac Ha Town, home of the Flower H’mong people. Explore Bac Ha Market — one of the region’s most vibrant weekly markets — where many ethnic groups gather to trade livestock, textiles, spices, and handmade goods. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Stop 2: Hoang A Tuong’s Palace & Pho Village
After lunch, walk to Hoang A Tuong’s Palace, built in 1914 with a mix of French and Vietnamese architecture. Then visit Pho Village, known for its strong Flower H’mong cultural presence.
Trekking distance: ~3 km (about 2 hours).

Afternoon (13:00–15:00): Drive to Lao Cai
Depart Bac Ha and take a 1.45-hour drive back to Lao Cai City. (The tour does not return to Sapa.)

End (15:00–21:00): Shuttle bus to Hanoi
Board the shuttle bus back to Hanoi with comfort breaks along the way. You’ll arrive in the capital between 20:30 and 21:00, where the tour ends.
